PRIMARY

Local Stage: final date end of February. In each Area, the team first on game points and the team first on match points both qualify for the Final. One place only, if the same team qualifies on both counts. In addition, the runners-up in Areas 2-5 will qualify provided they default no matches.
     Deadline: note 8.3.02. The end-of-February deadline seems to have escaped everyone's attention in P3 and P4, and in those Areas the deadline is extended to the end of term. The original idea was to hold the Finals in March, but it turns out now that that wouldn't have been possible anyway. In the other Areas the deadline seems to have been known about and no further results will be officially accepted. (Send late results by all means, and they will be inserted in brackets. They won't count for qualification, but the Organiser may take them into account when deciding whether to be generous about extra places in the Finals.)
